An essay by Associate Professor of History Kevin Grant has been re-published in German. The essay, “Die Menschenrechte und die staatliche Abschaffung der Sklaverei, 1885-1956,” appears in Stefan-Ludwig Hoffman (ed.), Moralpolitik: Geschichte der Menschenrechte im 20. Jahrhundert (Göttingen: Wallstein Verlag, 2010). The original essay, “Human Rights and Sovereign Abolitions of Slavery, 1885-1956,” was published in 2007 in Beyond Sovereignty, a collection co-edited by Grant.
