Field hockey standout selected for Senior Game


Hamilton College's Colleen Callaghan '11 (Queensbury, N.Y./Glens Falls HS) has been selected by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association to participate in the 2010 Division III Senior Game.

Callaghan is one of 38 seniors scheduled to appear in the game at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Va., on Sunday, Nov. 21. The contest is scheduled to start at 9 a.m.

Callaghan is enjoying the most productive offensive season in program history. She has set team records with 18 goals and 47 points this year, and has tied another team record with 11 assists.

Nationally ranked No. 14 Hamilton (12-2 overall) is the No. 2 seed in the Liberty League tournament, and hosts No. 3 seed William Smith College for a tournament semifinal game on Wednesday, Nov. 3, at 5 p.m.
