Football players are NESCAC all-conference selections
Soobitsky '09, Lawrence '10 are Second Team defense

Two Hamilton College football players have been selected to the 2008 New England Small College Athletic Conference all-conference team.
Taylor Soobitsky '09 (Simsbury, Conn./Simsbury HS) and John Lawrence '10 (Baldwinsville, N.Y./Baldwinsville HS) were both voted to the Second Team on defense by the conference's coaches. Hamilton (2-6 overall) ranked third in the NESCAC in total defense as the Continentals allowed 297.9 yards per game.
Soobitsky is a three-time member of the all-conference team on the defensive line. He was on the Second Team in 2007 and the First Team in 2006. He finished third in the NESCAC with six sacks this year. He was credited with 41 tackles and forced two fumbles. Soobitsky ended his Hamilton career with 24 sacks.
Lawrence was the 2006 NESCAC Rookie of the Year. He led the NESCAC with seven interceptions and returned one 69 yards for a touchdown from his linebacker position. He was second on the team with 53 tackles and also broke up five passes.
