Professor of Biology Jinnie Garrett attended a meeting sponsored by the Department of Energy, March 20-24, at the Joint Genome Institute in Walnut Creek, Calif.

She presented a poster “High Resolution Characterization of Bacterial Diversity and Geochemistry in a Meromictic Lake (Green Lake, Fayetteville, NY)” on her research done in collaboration with Associate Professor of Biology Michael McCormick. Three current Hamilton students, Meghan Griesbach ’12, Agne Jakubauskaite ’13 and Andrew Seriachik ’13, as well as two alumnae, Elizabeth Pendery ’10  and Valerie Valant ’10, were co-authors on the poster.
