Research by Professor of Geosciences Cynthia Domack and Associate Professor of Geosciences Todd Rayne was presented at the Northeastern Section of the Geological Society of America by their Hamilton College student co-authors.

Geosciences graduate Chelsea Fellows-Swenson '06 presented "A Guide to the Eurypterid Collecting Localities in the Bertie Formation of Central New York" which she co-authored with Domack. Senior Olivia Frost presented "Exploring the Chatham Break: A Gis Exercise" and senior Alicia Colabella presented "Marine Reptiles of the Mesozoic: A Teaching Module." Both papers were co-authored by Domack.

Senior Richard Deitchman presented research co-authored with Rayne titled "Interaction between Groundwater and Surface Water: Quantifying the Relationship between Groundwater Discharge and Water temperature in Oneida Lake, New York."

Held at the University of New Hampshire in Durham, N.H., on March 12 – 14, the conference was attended by approximately 700 geoscientists.
