The Hamilton College Gospel Choir, under the direction of Rob Forte, will host a gospel choir extravaganza on Saturday, March 1, at 7 p.m. in the Hamilton Chapel. Admission is free and open to the public.

The concert will feature the debut performance of the Hamilton Gospel Choir. Also performing will be visiting choirs from LeMoyne College, Syracuse; Williams College, Mass.; State University of New York at Stony Brook; the First Tabernacle Christian Center in Rome; and Payne's Temple in Utica.

Ruth Gardner, program director, said the concert is an effort to bring together colleges and local churches to praise God through song. She also said this is the first of what she hopes will be an annual extravaganza at Hamilton.
