After spending close to a year in a Los Angeles recording studio working with respected producer Dan Marnien, the much-anticipated new album Hang Around is complete. On October 14 the band released the CD to their dedicated fans and the general public. Granian will play in the Fillius Events Barn on Thursday, March 29 as part of Hamilton's Acoustic Coffeehouse Series. The show will be free with Hamilton ID and $7 for the general public. Please call 859-4515 or email cab@hamilton.edu for more information. Granian was formed in 1996 and their self-released album Without Change has won them high honors such as Best Unsigned Band of 1997 by Geocities/SPIN magazine and a nomination for the Asbury Music Awards "Top Pop Act". The buzz around the music scene is that this newest CD will take Granian to even greater heights. This is a band on the fast track and is a MUST SEE for music lovers of all ages. During the last eight years, Connecticut based singer-songwriter Hilary Cousins has been developing material and cultivating his craft. This commitment shines through in his debut release, Continents Collide. If you enjoy the works of Bruce Cockburn, Van Morrison, Mike Scott/The Waterboys, Neil Young and U2, then Hilary Cousins is a must hear.
