Professor of Classics Shelley Haley delivered a paper titled "STEM Education VS Classical Education: Lessons from African American History" at the annual meeting of the Classical Association of the Atlantic States (CAAS) in Baltimore on Oct. 13.

 

She also presided over a session on Roman culture and served as first vice president of the organization. Haley was elected president of CAAS for 2011-2012.
