Brian Grzymski scored the game-winner at 39:32 of the second
half as Hamilton blanked Union 1-0. Grzymski beat Union goalie Jeff Thomas with
a low blast off a cross from Brendan Forrest. Mike Heffernan made five saves in
goal to preserve the shutout for Hamilton. Thomas made eight saves for the
Dutchmen. This was Hamilton's first win in a season opener since a 1987 1-0
victory over Clarkson.
