Kevin Thorpe hit two clutch free throws with 0:20 remaining as Hamilton prevailed in a thriller in Geneva, NY. Hobart had three chances to tie in the final seconds, but all three three-point attempts rimmed out. With the score tied at 72 with 3:27 left, Kevin Larson scored eight of Hamilton's next 12 points as the Continentals went up 84-79 with 0:47 remining. But two Statesmen baskets by Eric Nelson and Mike Alroy brought Hobart within one before Thorpe hit his free throws. Hamilton has won 12 in a row over Hobart dating back to the 1987-88 season. With the win, Hamilton all but assures itself its third straight appearance in the NCAA tournament and the Continentals also clinch second-place in the UCAA. Hamilton won seven of its last nine games to finish the regular season at 15-9. Hobart drops to 11-13.
