Rob Rigg had a goal and four assists and Brian Grady of Clinton added two goals and an assist as Hamilton broke open a one-goal game with five unanswered goals to take a 9-3 victory against UMass-Boston. Hamilton held a 4-1 lead early in the second, but UMass-Boston cut the margin to 4-3 on goals by Tom Flynn and Anthony Gilardi. Hamilton got the back-breaker, however, when Joe Baudo tucked the puck past Beacon goaltender Gene Bono with just seven-tenths of a second remaining in the second period to make it 5-3. Hamilton scored five times in the third period and improved to 11-3-1 overall and 7-2-1 in the ECAC East. UMass-Boston falls to 5-9-0 and 3-8-0 in the conference. Brent Davey made 21 saves for Hamilton to improve to 10-1-1 on the year.
