Sam Bono had two hits, including a triple, andknocked in three runs as the Hamilton College baseball team opened their seasonwith an 11-5 win over Vassar College in Cocoa Beach, FL.

Brain Guastella added three hits which included two doubles, and had 2RBIs. Sean Fay added 2 hits and 2 RBIs as the Continentals opened up a5-0 first inning lead en route to the win.

Tim Fazio (1-0) earned the win in relief as he pitched three innings,gave up no runs and three hits.

In their second games, Hamilton got an outstanding performance from freshmanpitcher Andy Berman, who went five innings, gave up only one hit, struckout a batter and did not allow a run in the Continentals 3-1 win over WheatonCollege. Steve Guillette, another freshman, pitched the final twoinnings for the save.

Offensively, Hamilton was led by Matt Klumpp, who had a 2-run RBIsingle in the fifth inning to give the Continentals a 3-0 lead. MikeEstreicher added a run-scoring single.

Hamilton (2-0) will face SUNY-Brockport next.
