Nationally ranked William Smith scored two first half goals and seemed well on its to an easy victory. But Hamilton quickly answered with a goal by Christina Robeson at the start of the second half to make a game out of it. The Continentals could not get the equalizer, however, and fell 2-1, despite an outstanding 22-save performance by freshman goalkeeper Azure Davey. Robeson moved within two points of Hamilton's career scoring lead with her goal.
