It's time to start preparing for the #1 event in Central New York - America's Greatest Heart Run and Walk.  This year's event will take place on Saturday, Feb. 24, at Utica College.

Over the past few years, Hamilton has proudly sent a team to participate in the College Division.  The year 1999 is the one to top, as that was when we had 41 participants, raised $4,081, and won an award for the "college with the highest average pledge per team." We have tough competition with the likes of Colgate and Utica College, since they were the award winners in 2000. Organizers are urging the Hamilton community to come out in full force to support the Heart Association and beat neighboring schools in pledges.

Gina Hibbard, secretary to the president, and Marylyn Nassimos, technology support assistant, are Hamilton's co-chairs for  this year's event.  Pledge forms have been distributed around campus in the Pub, Commons, Bristol Campus Center, the Library, and Buttrick. Those who collect pledges of at least $25 will receive a Finisher's Pin.

This annual event is the perfect opportunity to show your support for an organization that has made strides in  the prevention of heart disease.

The registration date is February 21, so pledges are due by noon of that day.

Help us provide an accessible education, offer innovative resources and programs, and foster intellectual exploration.
