The Hamilton community observed the 10th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks with a silent march and candlelight vigil at the Chapel on Sunday, Sept. 11.  Early in the day, students from the Hamilton Republicans and Democrats placed 3,000 small memorial flags along Martin’s Way, the pathway of the vigil march.

The College honored the memory of Arthur J. Jones III, ’86, Adam J. Lewis ’87, and Sylvia San Pio Resta ’95 – Hamilton alumni who were among the nearly 3,000 people who lost their lives in the attacks.

At the Chapel, participants read poems and essays, wrote reflections on a “memorial wall” and sang patriotic songs. Chaplain Jeffrey McArn and Adjunct Chaplain for Multicultural Communities Roxanne Bellamy, offered reflections on the day.
