Hamilton College's Joe Buicko '11 (Altamont, N.Y./Hotchkiss School [Conn.]) is featured in the Utica Observer-Dispatch in a recent article that spotlights student-athletes at local colleges and universities with NCAA Division III athletic programs.

The story is written by veteran Observer-Dispatch sportswriter John Pitarresi '70. He focuses on academic performance by athletes and compares it to academic performance for the entire student body. Buicko was the subject of several photos taken by an Observer-Dispatch photographer that appear with the story.

Buicko is the men's ice hockey team captain and also plays varsity baseball. He is a member of the NESCAC 2009-10 winter all-academic team. Athletic Director Jon Hind '80 and Dean of Faculty Joe Urgo are also quoted in the article.
