The Hamilton College men and women's swimming and diving teams each placed first at the 1999 Upstate Collegiate Athletic Association (UCAA) Championships held at Union College. The women took first place with an overall score of 876, while the men won with a score of 917. Head coach Dave Thompson was named UCAA Women's Coach of the Year.

For the women Jen Kunz (Hampden, ME) had a strong meet with first place finishes in the 100 backstroke, the 50-yard and 100 freestyle. She was also a member of the winning 200 and 400 medley relays. Anne Fedak (Northborough, MA) was named UCAA Rookie of the Meet for her first place finishes in the 1,650 freestyle, the 400-yard individual medley and the 200 butterfly. Diver Cady Kashner (Plantation, FL) won the one-meter and three-meter springboard events with scores of 359.55 and 410.10 respectively. Katerina Donovan (Amsterdam, NY) was named Female Swimmer of the Meet. She won the 100 and 200-yard breaststroke, 200 freestyle and was a member of the winning 200 and 400-yard medley relay teams. Her time in the 100 breaststroke has provisionally qualified her for the NCAA Championships in that event.

On the men' side senior D.J. Postles (Williamsville, NY) and David Cecere (Chelmsford, MA) were named Co-Swimmers of the Meet. Postles scored victories in the 1,650 and 200 freestyle as well as the 400 medley relay and the 200 and 400-yard freestyle relays. Cecere won the 200 breastroke, the 200 and 400-yard individual medley. Diver Scott Carlton won the one-meter springboard event with a score of 372.73 and was third in the three-meter event with a score of 291.0
