Hamilton College swimming and diving swept the December 4-5 Upstate Collegiate Athletic Association (UCAA) championships.

Hamilton College won three events in both men's and women's swimming to take the first day's lead in the UCAA championships on December 4.

Hamilton dominated the men's competition, winning three events and setting a UCAA record in each of the wins. Hamilton's 200-yard freestyle relay of Anthony Loeffler, Dan Bordoni, Paul O'Donnell, and Adam Bushoe set a UCAA record time of 1:27.68, nearly two seconds faster than the conference standard of 1:29.40.

D.J. Postles won the 500-yard freestyle in 4:50.68, which broke the mark of 4:54.27. Loeffler won the the 50-yard freestyle in :22.02, one hundredth of a second shy of tying the UCAA standard.

The women's victories for Hamilton were earned in the 200-yard freestyle relay (Jennifer Kunz, Kelsey Finegan, Amy Ryan, Meghan Steed) in 1:42.58, by Regan Flynn in the 500-yard freestyle (5:30.88), and the 400-yard medley relay (Kunz, Katerina Donovan, Flynn, Steed) in 4:14.32.

On December 5, Hamilton College used balance to sweep both men's and women's swimming and diving team championships at the University of Rochester. The Continentals finished with 818 points in the women's division and 906.5 points in the men's division. They won each division easily. The closest competitor for the women was Rochester with 599 points and for the men, Union with 608 points.

The women's team won three individual events and two relays on the final day. Katherine Donovan won both the women's 100 and 200-yard breaststroke with times of 1:11.09 and 2:37 respectively. Regan Flynn won the women's 200-yard fly with a time of 2:20.89. The women also won the 400-yard freestyle relay and 200-yard medley relay with times of 3:45.49 and 1:56.07 respectively

The men's team did just as well capturing four wins. The men's relay teams won two events during the day. They won the 200-yard medley and 400-yard freestyle with times of 1:40.73 and 3:14.01 respectively. Other male victories came from D.J. Postles and Scott Carlton. Postles won the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:47.18. Carlton was the only Hamilton diver to win an event. He won the three-meter diving with a score of 343.75.
