Hamilton College will welcome the 502 members of the class of 2006 as they arrive on campus today (Aug. 27) to begin orientation. The class is comprised of 238 males and 264 females; they come from 18 countries, as far away as Sierra Leone and Japan, and as near as Canada and Mexico. One hundred seventy-one are from New York, and 235 are from the Mohawk Valley.

After check-in at their dorms, the students and their families will hear a welcome from Hamilton President Eugene M. Tobin. Other events today will include Opening Ceremonies with the Student Activities Office, Student Assembly cass presidents and orientation leaders.
