HAMILTON'S SEXUALITY WEEK FEATURES NYC DIRECTOR


Carmen Vazquez, director of public policy at the Lesbian and Gay Community Services Center of New York City, will be the keynote speaker for Hamilton College's 1997 Celebrate Sexuality Week. Vazquez will speak on Wednesday, April 9, at 8 p.m. in the Hamilton Chapel. Admission is free and open to the general public.

Vazquez's essay "Spirit and Passion" was recently published in Queerly Classed, an anthology by Susan Raffo. Vazquez will sign copies of the book at 7:30 p.m. in the Chapel.

Celebrate Sexuality Week will run Monday, April 7 through Friday, April 11. Other public events scheduled for the week include:

Monday, April 7

4 p.m. - Workshop/Discussion: "The Ethics and Politics of Being a Sex Radical," Karen and Naria Bullock-Jordan. Dwight Lounge, Bristol Campus Center;

7:30 p.m. - Film: When Democracy Works, Red Pit, Kirner-Johnson Building .

Tuesday, April 8

4 p.m. - Workshop/Discussion: "Let's Talk About Sex, Babies." Naria and Karen Bullock-Jordan. Red Pit, Kirner-Johnson Building (for women only);

7:30 p.m. - Film: Black Nations/Queer Nations, Science Auditorium.

Thursday, April 10

4 p.m. - Workshop/Discussion: "The Joys of Genderflexing." Chemistry Auditorium.
