More than 100 Hamilton students participated in HAVOC's 11th annual MLK Jr. Day of Service on Saturday, Jan. 24. The students spent the afternoon volunteering at area non-profit organizations For the Good, Hope House, The Neighborhood Center, Underground Café, Johnson Park Center, Emmaus House, Root Farm, the Kirkland Library, Clare Bridge Clinton and the Rome Humane Society. Most students participated in special activities and projects the organizations would not be able to accomplish without volunteer help.

Emma Domby '11, who volunteered at the Rome Humane Society, commented "It's nice to get off the campus and do some good for dogs that need some love." Emily Evans '12 said she and her friends "decided to go because we had fun doing Hamilton Serves and MLK Day sounded like fun."
