Hamilton's Environmental Action Group (HEAG) is sponsoring a number of activities to celebrate Green Week, Sept 29-Oct. 3.  To start things off on Monday, Sept. 29, HEAG is hosting a lecture, "Colony Collapse Disorder in Honey Bees: The Tip of the Iceberg," by Dr. John P. Burand, associate professor of entomology at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. The lecture begins at 7 p.m. in the Chapel. 

On Tuesday, Sept. 30, food service provider Bon Appetit hosts the 4th annual Eat Local Challenge. Bon Appetit will serve foods found within a 150-miles radius of campus, and local farmers and vendors will be on hand. HEAG will host a local farmers and artisans' market on Martin's Way on Wednesday, Oct. 1, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and sponsors a campus clean-up on Thursday Oct. 2, from 2-5 p.m. participants are asked to meet at the Glen House at 3 p.m. Green Week concludes on Friday, Oct. 2, with HEAG's screening of the film King Corn, at 7:10 p.m. in Science Center G041.
