India's Jagjit Singh, who's 1996-1997concert tour has included performances for capacity crowds in Atlanta, Bostonand Chicago, will perform at Hamilton College on Tuesday, April 8, at 6:30 p.m.The concert will take place in the college Chapel, admission will be charged.

Regarded as "the king of ghazals," Singh released his first album, TheUnforgettable Ghazal, in 1976. A ghazal is a form of poetry. The album setnew sales records and has been followed by over 30 ghazals and devotionalreleases, all of which have become classics. His work has created a renewedinterest in the art of ghazal poetry and performance and has been commissionedfor films and television releases. Singh has has won numerous awards frommusical associations and state governments.
