Ella Shohat, film critic andprofessor of cultural studies and women's studies at the City University of NewYork, will be at Hamilton College to discuss "Globalization and the Nation:Toward a Multicultural Feminist Critique." The talk will take place onWednesday, Oct. 30, at 4:15 p.m. in Dwight Lounge, Bristol Campus Center.

Shohat is the author of Israeli Cinema: East/West and The Politicsof Representation. She co-authored Multiculturalism and the Media,which won the Katherine Kovacs Singer Book Award for "Best Film Book" in 1994.Her work has appeared in numerous feminist, postcolonial and cultural studiesjournals and anthologies.
