Jon Hysell, a 1972 graduate of Hamilton College, has joined the College as director of alumni programs. Along with a staff of professionals, Hysell will direct alumni programs that build and support activities that promote stronger connections between Hamilton alumni and students, faculty, administrators and friends of the College. Programs include HOLAC (Hamilton's Online Alumni Community), the Sacerdote Great Names speakers series, Fallcoming, Family Weekend, reunions, summer seminars and alumni travel.
Hysell comes to Hamilton from Florida-based Cargill Citro-American, Inc., a part of Cargill, Incorporated, an international marketer, processor and distributor of agricultural, food, financial and industrial products and services with 97,000 employees in 59 countries. Hysell was employed by Cargill for 23 years, most recently as assistant vice president of customer solutions. He previously held positions in sales and risk management for the orange juice division.
Hysell and his wife, Britt, have relocated to Clinton. They are the parents of three children, Joe, Julia, a rising junior at Hamilton College, and Nora.
