Senior center Jon Schmiegel (Wantagh, NY/Calhoun) completed a successful regular season for the Hamilton College men's basketball team by earning First Team All-Eastern College Athletic Conference honors, as well as Second Team All-New England Small College Athletic Conference Honors.

Schmiegel finished the regular season averaging 17.8 points and 12.2 rebounds per game. Both statistics rank him second on the team. His rebounding average is the fourth best in the nation for Division III. For his success, Schmiegel was also named First Team All-Upstate Athletic Association (UCAA).

Senior teammate Max Stroman (Syracuse, NY/Bishop Ludden) also received post-season honors as he was named to the NESCAC All-Defensive Team. A tenacious defender, Stroman was always assigned to the opposing team's best offensive player. He averaged 1.4 steals per game and led the team with 26 blocks.

The Continentals finished the regular season with a 14-10 overall record. They take on Trinity College in the NCAA Division III Tournament round of sixteen 6 p.m. Friday, March 12 at the Coast Guard Academy in New London, CT.
