Hamilton sophomore Keith Foster returned to his alma mater, the Alabama School of Mathematics and Science, during Spring Break. Foster, a Levitt Scholar, told students about his plans to attend the United Nation's World Conference Against Racism, Xenophobia and Other Related Intolerance, to be held in South Africa in August.
Foster's visit to his alma mater was featured in an article in The Mobile Register (3/17). He and fellow sophomore Meghan Mullaney and Sociology Professor Kris Paap traveled to Santiago, Chile, in December to attend a meeting of the United Nations-Americas Region Preparatory Committee meeting, a regional part of the formal U.N. preparatory procedures for the Fall 2001 meeting. They also took part in a regional planning meeting of the participating non-governmental organizations. http://www.hamilton.edu/news/exp/un/default.html
