Professor of History Shoshana Keller presented a paper titled "Physical Culture for Modern Children" at the annual conference of the Central Eurasian Studies Society, held Sept. 16-18 at Ohio State University. The paper was part of a panel she organized on "Soviet Transformations of Childhood and Family," and concerns the role of physical culture and sports in creating modern forms of childhood in Soviet Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
