The Kirkland Project will hold its second annual conference, "Masculinity: Global and Local," on Saturday, March 8, in the Kirner-Johnson building on the Hamilton College campus.  In the interest of deepening Hamilton's engagement with the theme of masculinity, the conference will consider masculinity both out in the world and on the college level.

The conference will include a mix of presentations by students and faculty, and panel discussions on war, race, jocks and tomboys, sexual assault, and fraternities.  The Student Arts League is organizing an Art Show for that weekend under the theme of masculinity, and student Anthony Ng '05 will display the Masculinity Wall with input from members of the Hamilton community on what masculinity means.  The conference is free and open to the public.
