Hamilton College's Department of Theatreand Dance will present Georg Büchner's Leonce and Lena, Thursday,April 11, through Saturday, April 13, and Wednesday, April 17, throughSaturday, April 20, at 8 p.m., in Minor Theater. There will also be a matineeperformance on April 22 at 2 p.m.

Under the direction of Assistant Professor of Theatre Adrian Giurgea, acompany of over 35 performers, designers and technicians will bringBüchner's work to life.

A parody of a conventional romantic comedy, Leonce and Lena tells thestory of a melancholy young prince about to be forced to marry a princess whomhe has never met. With the help of his servant Valerio, Leonce escapes to thecountry where he accidentally meets the very woman he is supposed to wed.
