Leonce and Lena to be Performed at Hamilton College

Hamilton College's Department of Theatre
and Dance will present Georg Büchner's Leonce and Lena, Thursday,
April 11, through Saturday, April 13, and Wednesday, April 17, through
Saturday, April 20, at 8 p.m., in Minor Theater. There will also be a matinee
performance on April 22 at 2 p.m.
Under the direction of Assistant Professor of Theatre Adrian Giurgea, a company of over 35 performers, designers and technicians will bring Büchner's work to life.
Admission is $3 for students and $5 for the general public. Tickets may be reserved by phoning (315) 859-4269.
A parody of a conventional romantic comedy, Leonce and Lena tells the story of a melancholy young prince about to be forced to marry a princess whom he has never met. With the help of his servant Valerio, Leonce escapes to the country where he accidentally meets the very woman he is supposed to wed.
