Hamilton College’s Joe Jensen '15 (West Windsor, N.J./West Windsor-Plainsboro HS North) has been named the New York State Collegiate Track Conference (NYSCTC) men's track athlete of the week for his performance at Rochester Institute of Technology’s Orange and Brown Invitational on Feb. 15.
Jensen won the 400-meter dash in a time of 50.88 seconds and finished sixth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.06 seconds. His time in the 400 meters qualified him for the 2013 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Indoor Championships, which will be held at New York City's New Balance Armory Track & Field Center on March 1 and 2.
Jensen currently has the second-fastest time in both events on the NYSCTC performance list. His top 200-meter time of 23.01 seconds was recorded in the Hamilton Invitational on Feb. 9.
The Continentals travel to Ithaca College for the NYSCTC indoor championships on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 22 and 23.
