Pat Sullivan '12 scored 18 points and grabbed a game-high nine rebounds to lead Hamilton College to a 78-60 win over Morrisville State College in a non-conference game at Margaret Bundy Scott Field House on Nov. 22.

Eric Benvenuti '13 scored a career-high 17 points on 7 of 8 shooting, including a perfect 3-for-3 from behind the arc. Greg Newton '14 and Hans Schulte '13 each dished out a career-high seven assists. Newton and Peter Kazickas '15 added nine points apiece.

Mickey Davis '14 led the Mustangs with 20 points to go along with six rebounds. Kucjok Ater '14 scored 11 points and blocked three shots. Darren Green '14 led the team with seven rebounds.

Morrisville State (1-3 overall) jumped out to a 7-2 lead, which led to a Hamilton timeout with 17:41 left in the first half. The Mustangs still led 11-7 with 15:48 remaining, but a 3-pointer from Bradley Gifford '15 sparked a 10-2 Hamilton run that was capped by five straight points by Benvenuti to give the Continentals the lead for good at 17-13 with 12:46 left.

With Hamilton leading 24-21 with 7:11 remaining, Newton hit a jumper to spark a 12-1 Hamilton spurt for a 36-22 lead with 3:04 left. The closest the Mustangs got after that was nine points when Davis beat the halftime buzzer with a 3-pointer from beyond halfcourt that banked off the backboard. Hamilton held a 37-28 advantage at the break.

Hamilton (3-0) scored the first six points of the second half and led by double digits the rest of the game. Ken Click '13 hit a jumper, followed by layups by Newton and Schulte for a 43-28 advantage with 17:52 left. Hamilton shot 53 percent from the field in the final 20 minutes.

The Continentals host Berkeley College (N.Y.) as part of the Hamilton Thanksgiving Tournament on Saturday, Nov. 26, at 7 p.m.
