Hamilton College finished in a tie for fifth place in the overall team standings at the New York State championships, which were held on Whitney Point Lake on May 2 and 3.

Hamilton won the trophy for most improved team in points standings with 65 points, which was good for a tie with St. Lawrence University in the 27-team field. Ithaca College finished first with 140 points.
