Hamilton College's entry in the Open 4 finished third at the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta in Philadelphia on Oct. 25.

The temperature was in the low 60s with a gentle breeze and occasional sprinkles early in the day. The weather deteriorated to pouring rain and a strong headwind by the time the men's Open Club 8 started.

Hamilton's time in the Open 4 was 15:51.28 on the 4,000-meter course. The Pennsylvania Athletic Club captured first place out of 20 entries with a time of 15:19.34 and the New York Athletic Club was second in 15:25.79.

In the Open Club 8, Hamilton finished 14th out of 30 entries with a time of 15:29.99. The U.S. Naval Academy took first place with a time of 14:20.56. Hamilton finished ahead of the University of Rochester, which recorded a time of 15:46.16.

Hamilton was 16th out of 30 entries in the Frosh/Novice Eights with a time of 15:19.76. Navy (13:30.61) edged Princeton University (13:31.16) by less than a second for first place. Rochester was 17th in 15:24.51.

Ricky Bottini '10 was the coxswain for the Open 4. Andre Matias '11 was stroke and Jeff Cardoni '11 was in the bow seat. Willy Cowles '09 was 3-seat and Ben Sholl '09 was 2-seat.

Dan Rudel '10 was the coxswain for the Club 8, Alex de Moor '10 was stroke and Tim Belden '10 was in the bow seat. The rest of the rowers (seats seven through two in descending order) included: Talpey Matt '12, Jonathan Wilson '09, RD Eisenhart '11, Joe Ely '12, Sam Hincks '11 and Rafael De La Rosa '12.

Scott Bixby '11 was the coxswain for the Novice 8, Alex Snow '12 was stroke and Jeff Rabinowitz '12 was in the bow seat. The rest of the rowers (seats seven through two in descending order) included: Matt Seaman '12, Gibson Hoyt '12, Adam Minchew '12, Michael Tracey '11, Ian Thresher '12 and Matt Poterba '12.

Hamilton's fall season is complete.
