Hamilton College finished in fifth place out of 12 teams at the 2012 New York State Collegiate Track Conference (NYSCTC) Championships held at Center Park in Fairport, N.Y., on Oct. 20.

Results

Hashem Zikry '13 earned NYSCTC all-conference first team honors based on his performance at the championship meet. The top 21 runners make the all-conference team.

Zikry finished in fifth place out of 143 runners with a career-best time of 26 minutes, 8.24 seconds on the 8-kilometer course. Last year, Zikry was third team all-conference.

Will Robertson '14 and Jack Moses '16 were the next Continentals to cross the line in 40th and 41st place, respectively. Robertson finished in a career-best 27:10.87 and Moses was just behind him in 27:14.87.

Charles Pfander '16 placed 43rd in a time of 27:18.44 and Sam Dupuis '13 rounded out the scoring for Hamilton in 51st place with a time of 27:33.08.

Sam Rakoc of St. Lawrence University won the individual title with a time of 25:44.46. Nationally ranked No. 22 University of Rochester won the team competition with 48 points and No. 28 St. Lawrence was a close second with 52 points. The Continentals finished with 145 points.

Hamilton competes in the 2012 NESCAC Championships at Bowdoin College on Saturday, Oct. 27.
