Men's cross country runner receives two weekly honors

Hamilton College's Peter Kosgei '10 (Kapsabet, Kenya/Kapsabet Boys' HS) earned New England Small College Athletic Conference men's cross country Performer of the Week and New York State Collegiate Track Conference (NYSCTC) men's Runner of the Week honors on Nov. 3.

Kosgei successfully defended his individual title at the NESCAC championship as Hamilton finished in eighth place at Pineland Farms in New Gloucester, Maine, on Saturday. He won by 35 seconds with a time of 25:07, which is a record on Bates College's 8,000-meter course. He has won 16 out of the 17 races he has competed in at Hamilton. He finished second at the 2007 NCAA Division III championship.

The Continentals host the NYSCTC championship on Saturday, Nov. 8. The men's race starts at 11 a.m.
