Peter Kosgei '11 led Hamilton College to first place in the nine-team Hamilton Invitational on Oct. 9.

Hamilton's winning team score was 35 points. SUNY Brockport was the runner-up with 44 points. The Continentals placed four runners in the top 10.

Kosgei's time was 25:32.5 on the 8-kilometer course. He won the race by 27 seconds. A total of 99 runners competed.

Scott Bickard '11 placed third with a time of 26:57.4. The time is his best on Hamilton's course, and it made him the third-fastest Hamilton runner on the Continentals' home course.

Devon Lynch '11 was right behind Bickard in fourth place and a time of 27:22.6. James Grebey '12 ended up seventh in 27:32.6. Both Lynch and Grebey improved their personal records on the home course. Robert Hayden '14 rounded out Hamilton's top five in 20th place with a time of 28:37.2.

The Continentals are off until Saturday, Oct. 23, when they compete in the 2010 New York State Collegiate Track Conference championships at Saratoga State Park in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.
