Hamilton College's Matt Yung '16 tied for fifth place and the Continentals finished fourth out of six teams at the 2013 New York University Spring Invitational, which was held at Forest Hills Field Club in Bloomfield, N.J., on April 13 and 14.

RESULTS

Yung fired a 73 in Sunday's second round and ended up with a 36-hole total of 158 strokes. None of the other Hamilton players posted a round under 80 on the 6,547-yard layout that played to a par of 71.

Greg Scott '14 finished 11th out of 34 golfers with a two-day total of 164 for the Continentals. Brandon De Graff '14 tied for 12th at 166.

Hamilton's four-man team score on Saturday was 331, but that improved to 323 on Sunday for a 654 total. The University of Rochester captured the team title at 616, NYU was runner-up at 636 and St. Lawrence University was third at 639. Rochester's Nick Palladino won medalist honors after a three-hole playoff. Palladino carded rounds of 74 and 72 for a 146.

The Continentals compete in the Williams College Spring Opener on Saturday and Sunday, April 20 and 21.
