Hamilton College finished in fifth place at the 10-team, two-day Manhattanville College/New York University Spring Invitational at Spook Rock Golf Course in Suffern, N.Y., on April 10.

Hamilton was in second place after Saturday's round when the four best scores added up to 310. The Continentals slipped to a 319 on Sunday, and a total of 629 shots for the tournament.

Nationally ranked No. 13 Skidmore College won the team title by 28 strokes with a 598. SUNY Delhi was next at 626, Middlebury College was third at 627, and NYU fourth with 628.

Greg Scott '14 tied for eighth place out of 61 golfers with a 36-hole total of 153. Scott fired a 3-over par round of 75 on the first day, and followed with a 78 on the second day. Spook Rock measures 6,806 yards.

Julian Ophals '14 tied for 14th place at 155. Ophals carded a collegiate-best round of 76 on Saturday, and recorded a 79 on Sunday. Carter White '14 posted a 79 on his first 18 holes.

Hamilton hosts its own spring invitational at Skenandoa Club in Clinton on Tuesday, April 12.
