Hamilton College placed second out of nine teams at its own spring invitational held at nearby Skenandoa Club on April 21.

Hamilton's four-man team score of 305 was just one shot behind team champion SUNY Delhi. Rensselaer finished third with a 311. Skenandoa has a par of 72 and measures 6,563 yards.

Brad Roche '11 and Kevin Osborne '09 tied for second place with rounds of 2-over 74 and both made the all-tournament team. The top five finishers and ties earned all-tournament honors. Roche carded a 74 for the second time in his last three rounds.

Jeff Corbett '09 tied for seventh out of 57 golfers with a 78 and L.J. Scurfield '12 tied for 11th place one stroke back at 79. Scott Blosser '12 posted an 80 as an individual.

The Continentals travel to Middlebury College for the New England Small College Athletic Conference championships on April 25 and 26. Saturday's round at Ralph Myhre Golf Course is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. and Sunday's round starts at 10. The winner of the four-team event receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III championships in May.
