Hamilton College tied for third place in the 36-hole Hamilton Quadrangular, which concluded at The Skenandoa Club in Clinton, N.Y., on Sept. 4.

Results

2011 All-American Greg Scott '14 led the Continentals as he tied for third out of 31 golfers. Scott carded a 4-over par 76 at Kanon Valley Country Club in Oneida, N.Y., on Sept. 3. He followed with a 1-under round of 71 at Skenandoa.

Scott and five others made the all-tournament team. The University of Rochester's Nicholas Palladino fired a 67 on Sunday, and earned medalist honors with a 4-under 140 for the tournament.

Hamilton's four-man total at Kanon Valley was 314. The Continentals improved by 15 shots to 299 at Skenandoa, which is the team's home course. Hamilton and Manhattanville College ended up at 613, Rochester was runner-up with a 596 and Rensselaer captured the team title with a 592.

Julian Ophals '14 and Carter White '14 tied for 14th place at 156. Ophals recorded a 75 at Skenandoa, while White shot the same score at Kanon Valley. Bobby Hamill '15 shot 75 on Sunday, Brandon De Graff '14 had a 78 and Scott Blosser '12 added a 79.

Knute Gailor '13 competed as an individual and finished with a two-day total of 158, including a 78 at Skenandoa. Mac Pivirotto '15 shot 79 on Saturday, and Conor Fox '15 finished with a 79 on Sunday.

The Continentals compete in a tournament at St. Lawrence University on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 10 and 11.
