    Deak '07 Scores Again for Hamilton

    Casey Deak '07 scored his third goal in the last four games, but visiting Hamilton College lost 5-1 against Colby College in a New England Small College Athletic Conference game played in Waterville, Maine, on Feb. 3.

    Deak scored unassisted for his sixth goal this season just 42 seconds into the first period to stake the Continentals (8-6 conference, 10-8-1 overall) to a 1-0 lead. Deak is fourth on the team with 13 points.

    Colby (8-6, 12-7) tied the score 1:41 later and took the lead for good at 12:20 of the first on a power play goal. The Mules went 2-for-4 on the power play while Hamilton was 0-for-3. The loss ended a three-game winning streak.

    The Continentals' Gabe Tash '06 was pulled after allowing his fourth goal 3:02 into the second period. Tash made 10 saves in the first period and his record is 7-6-1 in goal this season. Matt Crowson '09 stopped 16 of 17 shots in relief of Tash.

    Hamilton held a 34-31 advantage in shots, including 13-7 in the second period. The Continentals travel to Brunswick, Maine, for another conference game against nationally ranked Bowdoin College on Saturday, Feb. 4, at 5 p.m.
