Hamilton College's Joe Houk '13 (Richboro, Pa./Council Rock HS South) was selected the New England Small College Athletic Conference men's ice hockey player of the week on Jan. 4.

Houk recorded three points and was named to the SUNY Oswego PathFinder Bank Hockey Classic all-tournament team after the event finished on Dec. 31. The defenseman had a goal and an assist in a 5-1 victory that ended Oswego's home ice win streak at 25 games on Dec. 30. He added his fourth goal in the last three games in a 2-1 loss against Hobart College the next day in the championship game.

Houk ranks second in the conference with seven goals and is tied for second in defenseman scoring with nine points. Hamilton (5-4-0 overall) hosts Middlebury College on Friday, Jan. 7, and nationally ranked No. 3 Williams College on Saturday, Jan. 8, in NESCAC action.
