Men's lacrosse coach featured speaker at state boys' clinic

Hamilton College head men's lacrosse coach Scott Barnard was one of the featured guest clinicians at the 2010 New York State Public High School Athletic Association Boys' Lacrosse Coaches Clinic at SUNY Cortland on Jan. 22.

Barnard, who is in his fourth year at Hamilton, spoke for an hour about preparing a college defenseman. The other clinicians were Cornell University associate head coach Ben DeLuca, Cortland head coach Steve Beville and Harvard University head coach John Tillman.

The Continentals open their season at home against Utica College on March 13. The first Liberty League game -- also at home -- is against Rensselaer on April 3. Hamilton will play its home games at Steuben Field on the site's new artificial grass surface. Steuben Field has been the football team's home for more than 100 years.

The Continentals take on Sewanee at Duke University on March 17 during Hamilton's spring break.
