Jon Leanos ’12 scored five goals and tallied three assists to lead Hamilton College to a convincing 15-3 win over Sewanee in a non-league game at Duke University in Durham, N.C., on March 17.
 
Paul Armideo ‘13 scored two goals and assisted on two others for Hamilton (2-0 overall). Luke Sadoff ’12 and Alex Paganelli ‘12 each added two more goals. Garrett Akie ‘12 made four saves in the first 50 minutes in goal. Max Vaickus ‘12 relieved Akie for the final 10 minutes and recorded three saves.
 
Henry Burchenal ’12 found the back of the net for his third goal of the season. Burchenal was credited with his team-leading fifth assist. Luke Walsh ’13 and Chris Whelan ‘13 each scored their first collegiate goal. Paul Citarella ‘12 won 7 of 10 faceoffs.
 
Hamilton came out strong with four goals in the first quarter, while Sewanee tallied just one. The Continentals added five more goals in the second quarter, and Sewanee scored once to make the score 9-2 at the half. Hamilton scored two goals in the third quarter, and continued to stretch its lead with four more goals in the fourth. Sewanee scored just once more in the final 30 minutes.
 
The Continentals return to action on Saturday, March 20, when they travel to play Lasell College in Newton, Mass.
