Hamilton College's Max Vaickus '12 (Hingham, Mass./Hingham HS) was selected a NESCAC men's lacrosse co-player of the week on April 2.

Vaickus posted a .676 save percentage in two conference wins last week. He made 14 saves in a 7-6 victory against Middlebury College on Wednesday, and stopped 11 shots in a 12-6 upset at nationally ranked No. 3 Amherst College on Saturday. Vaickus didn't allow a goal in the second half against the Lord Jeffs.

Hamilton (3-4 overall, 2-4 NESCAC) snapped a 16-game losing skid against Middlebury, and won its first NESCAC contest. The Continentals competed in the Liberty League for lacrosse from 1996 to 2011. Hamilton recorded its first win in three all-time meetings with Amherst.

Vaickus and the Continentals travel to SUNY Oneonta for a non-conference game on Wednesday, April 4. Hamilton returns home to face Bates College in NESCAC action on Saturday, April 7.
