Anthony Carello '09 stopped all six shots he faced to help lead Hamilton College to a 2-0 Liberty League victory against visiting Clarkson University at Love Field on Sept. 27.

Carello posted his second shutout this year and the 10th of his career. Jesse Arroyave '11 and Frank Campagnano '12 scored the goals for the Continentals (5-2 overall, 1-1 Liberty), who snapped a two-game losing skid. Arroyave leads Hamilton with four goals and Campagnano has two.

The Continentals held an 8-2 advantage in shots during the first 45 minutes, but the teams went into the break scoreless. Campagnano finally broke the ice in the 68th minute with his unassisted goal. Trailing 1-0 late, Clarkson (5-4-1, 0-2-0) started to press, and that's when Hamilton sealed the victory.

Paul Moakler '10 broke free with the ball down the right wing and the Golden Knights' keeper came off his line to meet the shot. The rebound came right back to Moakler, who passed it to Arroyave in the penalty area. Arroyave evaded two defenders and scored into an open net with 2:15 left as the keeper scrambled to get back in the play.

Clarkson has lost two straight games after the Golden Knights went 4-0-1 in their previous five contests. The Continentals have eight wins and two ties in their last 10 meetings with Clarkson, and Hamilton leads the all-time series, 25-20-6.

The Continentals travel to nationally ranked Hobart College for another league game on Saturday, Oct. 4, at 2 p.m.
