Hamilton College allowed a one-goal lead to slip away in the second half as visiting Nazareth College came from behind for a 2-1 non-league win at Love Field on Sept. 19.

Hamilton (1-2-1 overall) got on the scoreboard first with 10:02 remaining in the first half. A Hamilton throw-in from the left side of the field slid through the hands of the Nazareth goalkeeper, who had jumped high to intercept the pass. Tom Goulder ’12 collected the ball and shot it into the open net for his first career goal.

Just 2:33 into the second half, Nazareth (3-3-0) connected off a corner kick to score the tying goal. The Golden Flyers added the game-winning goal in the 69th minute.

Hamilton's Eric Boole '13, who finished with three saves, had not allowed a goal in the first 247-plus minutes of his career. Hamilton held the advantage in shots with 19 to Nazareth’s 13. The Continentals also took 10 corner kicks while Nazareth had only four.

The Continentals return to action when they travel to play SUNY Cortland at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 22.
