Hamilton College men's soccer player Max Akuamoah-Boateng '09 (Winneba, Ghana/Nottingham HS) has been selected to the 2008 all-region team by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
Akuamoah-Boateng is one of 11 athletes on the First Team for the Northeast Region. The region includes NCAA Division III schools from New York state and any school that is a member of a New York-based conference.
Akuamoah-Boateng also made the all-region First Team in 2007. In November the midfielder was voted a Liberty League First Team all-star. He finished 2008 with two goals and tied for the team lead with three assists for seven points in just nine games played. He missed five games early in the season due to injury.
Hamilton finished 8-6 overall and posted a winning record for the ninth straight year.
