Rensselaer scored two goals midway through the second half and went on to a 2-0 Liberty League win against visiting Hamilton College at Renwyck Field on Oct. 26.

Anthony Carello '09 made three saves for Hamilton (7-6 overall, 2-5 Liberty). Sam Dwyer '10, Max Akuamoah-Boateng '09 and Frank Campagnano '12 were credited with four shots each. Both teams finished with 16 shots, but Hamilton was whistled for offsides six times.

The Red Hawks (11-4-1, 6-1-0) broke a scoreless tie with 29:46 left in regulation when they converted a penalty kick. Rensselaer added some insurance with another goal in the 70th minute.

The Continentals had several chances to get on the scoreboard late in the second half after a Red Hawk player was sent off for a red card with 15:06 remaining. Hamilton played 11-on-10 for the final 15 minutes and sqeezed off four shots, including three on goal, but didn't get the ball into the back of the net.

This game marked the final league contest for both teams. The Continentals host SUNY Geneseo for the regular season finale on Saturday, Nov. 1, at noon.
